Directors' Nominating Committee Report

Every year, one of your directors must retire or put themselves up for re-election to ensure the regular rotation of member-elected directors. For this AGM, Debra Blackett, put herself up for re-election. The Board reviewed and identified key attributes and specific skill priorities required and agreed to seek nominations and applications for one vacancy. Unity advertised the vacancy in June, which resulted in one candidate, namely Debra Blackett, who has met the regulatory requirements outlined in legislation, Unity Rules and the Governance Policy (including the Fit and Proper Person Policy). Debra will be appointed for a three-year term.

Director appointments are subject to candidates meeting the ongoing requirements of the Fit and Proper Person Policy, including the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Suitability Notice requirements. The recommended candidate has met these requirements. Information regarding the current Board of Directors is available on our website at Our Governance Team | Unity.

Kevin Angland

Chair of the Directors’ Nominating Committee
