This is what some of our team members have to say

Carissa Tarrant – Senior Risk and Compliance Adviser

The financial industry is always changing, which means that work is never ‘business as usual’. We work hard to stay in-step, which is busy, but that’s the part I like the most; it’s never boring. What my team does is ensure our Credit Union is always up to date with the regulatory changes occurring throughout the financial services industry, and ensuring Unity meets its legal obligations, so we can continue helping members throughout New Zealand.

Michael Savage - Lending Manager

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job is supporting our awesome team in helping members to achieve their goals. Whether it's a new car to them get to work and back, consolidating their debt, or buying a dream home; we approach each application with empathy, understanding, and a commitment to finding the best financial solution. My role isn't just about coaching our awesome team to assess and approve loans; it's about fostering growth and building long-lasting relationships with members.

Paris Diack - Customer Services Officer

I joined Unity in November 2023 after spending time in hospitality. My time at Unity has given me immense exposure to member interactions and the opportunity to make a significant difference in their financial journeys and goals, with being able to give options for our products and services that enhance their futures. The branch team and the wider Unity staff have embraced and supported me in my growth and learnings in my first few months.

Max Castillo - Senior Data Analyst

With our goal to always thrive and continue providing a great experience to our members, the Data and Analytics team helps the organisation to make data-driven decisions and support all business units with their data needs, such as auditing and regulatory requirements. What makes working with Unity stand out is that I get to translate our data into meaningful information for the purpose of finding ways to improve our services that can impact our members’ lives.
